*This is not an AD, all opinions are my own*

We all know sustainability is something that we have to take into consideration a lot more nowadays, especially in skincare products. So many brands are now focusing on being vegan, cruelty free and sustainable. So in light of this, I thought I’d share my current favourite vegan and cruelty free products to spread the love and awareness.

Harry’s Shower Gel in ‘Stone’

This product was only a recent discovery for me. I’d heard about the brand for a while, but only recently decided to try them out, and I’ve now fallen in love with this shower gel. Is that weird to say? Who cares.

It’s not often that I rave about a shower gel, but this ones deserves to be raved about. The scent literally smells like an expensive fragrance. Divine, to put it bluntly. The scent also lingers for quite a while after you get out the shower, so you can be that person that makes everyone’s head turn (in a good way) because you smell so good.

Harry’s as a brand are passionate about being vegan, cruelty free, and also about mental health. They donate 1% of their sales to nonprofit organisations helping men access therapy and life-changing mental health resources, which is something I’m so passionate about, and an amazing way to help in the current climate.

Bulldog Oil Control Face Wash

Bulldog is a brand that I’ve used and loved for many years, a brand that just gets me, you know what I mean? Their products are made mainly here in the UK, are vegan, cruelty free, never contain plastic microbeads, synthetic fragrances or artificial colours. They are also certified by Cruelty Free International.

For a long while, I could never find a face wash that worked with my skin. I have combination skin, meaning that parts of my face can be oily and other parts can be very dry. It meant that it was an absolute pain to try to find products that catered to my needs, because brands made face washes that catered to either oily OR dry skin, never both. Until I came across this one.

Firstly, their products are made with tons of natural ingredients, for example this specific product contains Witch Hazel, Willow Bark and Juniper. Secondly, this product genuinely works for my skin, which is a rarity. I can’t speak for everyone, because everyone’s skin is different, but I’ve definitely seen a reduction in how oily my skin is. On top of that, it doesn’t dry my skin out either, win win.

Bulldog Oil Control Moisturiser

The perfect companion to the face wash. I’ve been on quite the journey with different moisturisers, most of which made my skin produce more oil, some of which made my skin more dry which just baffled me. But this one has just hit the mark.

It makes my skin feel moisturised, yet it doesn’t make my skin more oily, and I haven’t noticed an increase in spots either since using this. It contains the same natural ingredients as the face wash, and genuinely is one of the best moisturisers I’ve ever used. 10 out of 10 from me.

Freederm Fast Track Spot Gel

Like Bulldog, Freederm is a brand that I’ve used for quite a while, and came across it in my search for spot/acne friendly skincare. I’ve tried a few of their products, but one that I’ve constantly re-purchased is the ‘fast track’ spot gel. I get a lot of vicious spots regularly so I needed something that would help reduce redness and spot size without it stinging or feeling uncomfortable, and this does just that.

I’ve re-purchased this product SO many times, and it has genuinely helped me with managing my spots. The gel contains niacinamide, which is a water soluble vitamin, and has many benefits for healthy skin. Another benefit to this product, and the sole topic of this post, is that it’s completely vegan and cruelty free. Freederm says that this, and all of their products, are suitable for vegans, as they don’t contain any ingredients from animal origin, and that none of their products or ingredients are tested on animals.

I will definitely be re-purchasing this product for the foreseeable future, and it will remain a staple in my wash bag for a long while to come.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into my wash bag and my current favourite skincare products. Let me know if you’d like me to do more posts like this, and if you have any recommendations for me to try, don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments!

  1. I love bulldog products so much, i’ve only ever used their original and sensitive products though, but after reading this I might need to try their oil control ones.

  2. I’ve used Bulldog’s face moisturizer for a few years now, and really like it. The little store where I get it only carries their face moisturizer, so I didn’t know they made other products (well, I never thought to look). Definitely going to check out some of their face washes. Thanks for sharing.
